Dear colleague...

Have you ever doubted your decision to become an English teacher?

Ever been hamstrung by any of the following...

All of these factors often result in people leaving the profession who could, with a little guidance, be superb language teachers. But they get worn down by all these frustrations and eventually give up.

And that's without even discussing cowboy administrators, idiot supervisors, and hopeless visa-factory scams that – sadly – make a large proportion of the EFL "industry" a vomit-inducing quagmire of despair.

Ever feel like you're banging your head against the wall in this gig? Why spend hours preparing lessons, bending over backwards to help, staying back late... and still find yourself wondering where you're going wrong? Spending more time doing the same thing will only get you the same results.

That's why I started this site. To share various things I've learnt over the years which, hopefully, are helpful to you in some way. I don't publish to this site very often, truth be told, but when I do, I'd like to think it's food for thought or useful to you in some manner. Click here to visit my blog.

Best regards,

P.S. Please be sure to leave your comments; I'm always keen to know what other teachers think and to bounce ideas around.
